The Framemaker proudly presents new work by Connie Livingston-Dunn. This exhibit is part of Clarksville’s First Thursday Art Walk on June 7, 2018. An opening reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display at the Framemaker throughout the month of June during normal business hours (Mon. through Fri. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Livingston-Dunn is a multi-media artist who enjoys exploring new directions in painting, mixed media, and digital/fractal collages. Her paintings range from vibrant, rainbow colors to subtle aging and the impression of impermanence, imperfection and incompleteness. Expressionists and visionary artists such as Kandinsky have been major influences to her style. Her artworks can be ambiguous, concealing symbolism and pure abstraction.
Livingston-Dunn likes for viewers to unravel the unspoken visual poetry within the artworks to expose an altered point of view and new way of seeing. Some of her artworks have been featured as illustrations for stories and poems which she publishes on Medium.com and formerly at Cowbird.com.
